is so cool that they are making parkour games because there are no parkour games i mean there are but not to mutch to only parkour game i see is mirro's edge thet is not even parkour is freerun
Great work so far! Really like the strong colours and low poly style :D
So sad I couldn't get out of the map.. :P
Only thing I would change is the run button. I would build up speed over distance - like mirrors edge, and change the run button to a sprint button for extra speed boost (but for a limited amount of time).
Such an amazing prototype. Admittedly I didn't pick up the game for any particular reason, I simply randomly choose games and play them for my channel (Hence: Randomly Generated), but this in my opinion was a home run in terms of games. I'm glad I played it and despite not having many subscribers, hope this will bring more attention to Run Far.
The controls were solid in my opinion, and the coins instantly told me what I was able to do in terms of parkour. Would gladly pay money for this once its finished. Keep up the good work.
Wow the prototype was great. The gameplay mechanics were amazing.
I would definitely buy this game if it was a full game. Not sure what approach you want to take like comical-fun story/sidequests or like a slightly more serious tone with some fun sidequests. Either would be cool though.
Only thing I would say is I don't think there is a need for a run button. I think a walk feature would be cool (since you may be on a tall building and don't want to fall), but I think the walk should be the one you have to press down.
I've been looking for a game like this for a long time, I'm glad I finally found it. It's so fluent, the controls are so easy! LOVE IT!
I grew up playing Jet Set Radio and I can see where you expanded on the ideas.
I wish you guys the best luck and I really hope you go really far, I'll definitely be watching you on Twitter to see what you guys do next. I believe you've got a lot of potential!
It's a great prototype. I've recently played Mirror's Edge so I compare it to that, the first thing I noticed is that there doesn't seem to be a reason to have a run button, the character could always run with certain first acceleration. I also lacks a bit of feedback, maybe with some sound effects it will improve. It would also be cool if it could be played with a joystick as well. Great work for a prototype.
After giving it a try, I think It would be a cool addition to the steam store. The reason I picked the demo up is because I freaking love Jet Set Radio/JSRF and I saw a post on the let's play subreddit.
Yes I would play the full game, Depending on price and my enjoyment!
I know this is just a prototype so I don't have much to say that I think you'll already be planning on doing like different music going on and such XD
